This is the flat round version of the Mangyan fridge magnet basket — a miniature disc of nito vine weave, radiating outward from its center in the same concentric pattern as the larger trivet and flat plate, but small enough to sit on a refrigerator door and stay there for years.

It is the simplest object in the Mangyan collection and in some ways the most honest. There is no handle, no lid, no dramatic form to hide behind. Just tight, clean weave in a circle, mounted on a magnet. If the craftsmanship is not good it will be obvious immediately. The fact that it holds up — that the pattern is consistent, the edge is clean, the disc is flat and true — is evidence of exactly the same skill that goes into the larger pieces.

At just over two inches across it fits anywhere. Refrigerator, filing cabinet, magnetic whiteboard, locker door. It will outlast every paper magnet and printed souvenir you have ever put on a fridge because nito vine does not fade, peel, or crack.
